Normally, permanent social grants are paid in the first week of the month. Here are the dates for September:

Ways to Get Your Sassa Grant

Getting your permanent Sassa grants is easy. You can withdraw cash at ATMs or retail stores using your Sassa gold card. The good news is that the Sassa gold cards set to expire this year will remain valid until the end of 2023.

If you don’t have a Sassa gold card, you can still get your grant. Just provide your cellphone number, ID document, and Sassa Gold card PIN number.

For those receiving the Social Relief of Distress grant, keep in mind that there isn’t a set payment date. Sassa will send you an SMS when your grant is available in your account. Sassa has also started sharing the payment schedule for the SRD grant online, including on social media. You have several options for collecting your grant.

Payment Schedule for R350 Grants

Sassa has shared the payment schedule for millions of people receiving the R350 grant each month. While there’s no set payment date, Sassa has revealed the timeframe when eligible applicants can expect to receive the relief grant.
