SASSA GRANT PAYMENT DATES JULY 2023

July 2023 Grant Payment Schedule

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced the grant payment dates for July 2023. The payment schedule prioritizes the pension (older person grant) first, followed by the disability grant and children’s grant. Subsequently, all other SASSA grants, including the R350 SRD grant, will be disbursed. It’s worth noting that the R350 SRD grant no longer has a fixed payment date.

Here is the breakdown of the payment dates:

Older persons (pension): Monday, 3 July
Disability grant: Tuesday, 4 July
Children’s grant: Wednesday, 5 July
All other SASSA grants: From Wednesday, 5 July onwards.

Please be aware that there is no specific payment date set for the special COVID-19 SRD grant. Beneficiaries can collect their funds after the day they become available according to the respective payment dates mentioned above. SASSA aims to ensure beneficiaries receive their grants promptly and address the needs of the community.

Guide: How to Withdraw Money from SASSA Payment Card

To withdraw your money, there are different ways you can do it:

Post Office: You can still go to the post office to collect your grant money, just like before.

ATMs: You can use your SASSA gold card at any ATM to withdraw your funds. Just insert your card, enter your PIN, and follow the instructions on the screen to get your money.

Retail Partners: Some stores like Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Boxer, and Shoprite U-Save allow you to withdraw your grant money. Visit one of these stores and use your SASSA gold card to get your cash.

You can also use your SASSA gold card to make purchases, like buying things at the store. It works like a regular debit card.

If you prefer, you can choose to have the money deposited directly into your personal bank account. SASSA recommends this option because it’s the most convenient way to receive your payments. The money will go straight to your bank account, and then you can use your bank card to access it or make online payments.

It’s important to choose the method that works best for you and makes it easy to access your grant money.
